christmas morning! SANTA CAME!

Heres a look at our christmas morning!

Connor wasnt as excited as we thought he'd be on christmas, he loved everything, but I think it was just kind of overwhelming for him. He really just opened one present and didnt want to do anything for the next hour, and thats kind of how his whole day went.  He loves his Jeep and sat in it all morning and if we allowed it to still be in the house he'd probably still be sitting in it. Lauren loved every little thing she got from the car to chapstick and hair things she loved it and showed everyone and said thank you about a hundred times, but her favorite was the dollhouse that grandma & grandpa West got her,

she even wanted me to put it in bed with her last night. 

It was a really fun and exciting day and it was so great to see everyone -

we are still recovering from it all, but the kids had a blast and it was all well worth it!

*Poor Joe always gets stuck being on camera since I always have the camera.

Ive been trying to get some video on here from the christmas parties, our santa visit and laurens preschool play but the video uploader and I arent getting along very well so here are some pictures from the last month.

Christmas Tree Hunt 2011

Christmas Tree Hunt 2011 was a success!!!

Not a happy trip for everyone but we did it and have a tree so it was successful!!!

It was cold and both kids weren’t to happy with the trip, they both kept tripping on stumps so we had a few falls and dirty knees, it was really muddy!  Lauren helped pick out a tree, while Connor fussed pretty much the whole time because he wanted to carry the saw or push the cart, which kept getting stuck. As you can see in the pictures we finally let him hold the saw for a while, he sure is a stubborn little guy. 

 We plan to decorate the tree tonight – more pictures coming soon!

 

Halloween 2011

Halloween 2011 was a huge success!!!!!!!!!

Lauren was a Zebra and Connor was a logger and they got tons of candy!!!

Lauren ran up to every house with her cousins and Connor tried to keep up.  Connor was rediculously cute! He insisted on walking the whole time and threw a fit if anyone tried to pick him up or touch his candy bucket.  So he pretty much made every other house since he couldnt keep up with the big kids, but he scored big while he was there.  He would get up to the door and say knock knock and then stick his basket out for a very long time, so long that they would just keep giving him candy until he left.  At most houses they gave him candy about three times before he would look at them and then his bucket and then turn around and walk away.  His basket was so heavy he was dragging it behind him and kicking it along, but he wouldnt let anyone touch what he calls his Chocky (Chocolate). 

The only good picture with Lauren - she wouldnt wear the zebra head most of the night.

Connor the house cleaner?....

Connor is growing up to be quite the little helper. 

He is obsessed with the vaccum cleaner and loves to use it. 

 He actually does an ok job too.

October & Pumpkins!

Here is a cute video of Lauren & Connor riding a pony. 

We go to a pumpkin party up at the Clark's in Enumclaw every year and

Lauren has wanted to ride the pony but been too scarred for the last 3 years. 

This year she finally did it.

  Connor didnt last to long, but I dont think he was scarred just didnt seem interested. 

They also got to pick out a bunch of pumpkins to take home, get candy out of a hay stack,

feed the horses and ride behind an ATV. 

They now think enumclaw is pretty cool.

First Day of Preschool!

September 2011 - watson kids update

Sorry its been over a month since I posted any updates on here, but we have been busy having fun out in the sun.  We had amazing weather these last few weeks of summer and we enjoyed it as mich as possible. Lots of time at the pool and the lake and in the backyard!

First Day of Preshool

 

Connor was all ready to go to!

Lauren loves playing with the big kids and going with them to the bus,

only a few more years and she'll be on the bus too!

She did great at preschool, she said she only cried for a little bit and commented on how the other kids weren't good at sharing even when she said please (she acted shocked).  I guess there was an issue over a glue stick and someone not sharing with her, but Lauren said dont worry mom I'll teach that mean girl how to share and say please and thank you, im interested to see how that goes. Shes going twice a week and she even had homework for her all about me poster.  Hopefully she keeps having fun! 

Connor is still the biggest boy he can be, he loves to get dirty and make boy noises.  He can copy a lot of words and answers questions by noding his head yes or no.  He can also tell you when he has an icky diaper and goes and gets a new one for you, I see potty training coming in a few months! yikes!

Phineas & Ferb

Last week we let the kids stay up and watch the Phineas and Ferb movie on TV. Its Laurens favorite show and she pretty much reminded us everyday that it was on friday at 8, so we let them watch it and then had a campfire after. Lauren had to roast marshmallows and then she decided she doesnt like marshmallows, go figure.... Lauren starts preschool next month and Connor is finally copying words and getting much better at communicating - They are growing up way to fast!

GARAGE SALE AND SWIMMING FUN!

This month has been full of summer fun. Lots of pool/sprinkler time and playing in the sun.

Joe is still recovering so we've stayed pretty close to home but we've caught up on lots of family time and cartoons!

We had a garage sale last saturday and Connor is our best little helper!

He just HAD to help out so I got him his own spray bottle of water and some paper towels.

He went around spraying stuff (kind of) and wiping it off.

Lauren is still pretty reluctant to try anything new but is slowly learning to swim (thanks uncle michael), I think it may be a 2 year learning process.  She hates getting water on her face and is pretty much terrified to let go of her floaties and try it on her own. But shes still our little helper around the house and with Connor and  she starts preschool next month! That'll be interesting!

July 21st 2011

Well not much has been going on this month, mostly just laying low and helping Joe to recover from his surgery.  Connor is getting into everything as usual and being his crazy fun self and Lauren is growing up so fast, she is super excited for preschool and loves to draw, paint and read books.  Hope we get to hang out with everyone a little more before summer ends now that Joe is feeling better!

Here is a picture of Connor at the Chiropractor, he loves it and we think its made a huge difference with him and his sleeping, etc...  then later the same day he got his finger stuck in a cabinet and ripped half the skin off (poor bubba).

On a more positive note Lauren now knows how to ride her bike, except when she gets tired she says we have to stop because shes out of gas. Love them! 

And our 5 year wedding anniversary is on friday, can't believe how much has happened since then. 

   

It's been a while and we've been very busy. Had the last 2 weeks off to take care of Joe after his surgery so the kids and I got to have a few fun trips out and about and got to enjoy the sun before I had to go back to work. Thank you to everyone for all of your help these last few weeks, Joe is finally on the road to recovery and doing much better!!!
