Arizona 2012

We finally got to visit the sun in arizona for about a week, got to hang out with the great grandparents and see lots of fun stuff! Here are some pictures from our trip.

Connor on the airplane - he was great and slept down there and back pretty much the whole time, so glad bumpa planned our flights for during nap time!
You can also see his bff grover, he sleeps with him every night! And even makes us kiss him goodnight.

THE GOLF CARTS!!! The kids loved playing on them and riding them all over town!

@ the wildlife ZOO

Lauren's favorite lizard - not sure why?.......

First Spring training game - It was a night game so the weather wasnt to hot - it was perfect!
& the kids loved running around in the grass
The second game we went to was during the day & much hotter
But so glad we went, we got to see Felix pitch for the Mariners and Jamie Moyer for the Rockies
It was an awesome game!!!!!!! And Lauren even talked to Jesus Montero.
& playing jungle gym on grandpa

Lauren on her burro ride @ Rawhide
On our last day the whole gang with the great grandparents
Connor getting off the plane in Seattle.
He loves his suitcase and caused some problems getting on the plane since
he tried to bring a toy gun on the plane.  TSA didnt like that too much.
That is a first for us and probably not the last time that will happen.

MARCH - WATSON PICTURE UPDATE

Haven't been so good at posting on here lately so heres a picture update!!!!

Pretty much the only good picture of them together, harder than you'd think.
Laurens big girl 4 year old pictures!

Connors big boy - 2 year old picture! His birthday is on Saturday!
And of course some sporty fun pictures, there would have been more but we brought some mini soccer balls for props and lets just say they were everywhere!
I guess maybe they were practicing their kicking technique, we learned our lesson.
And learned that Connor is still definitely left footed!!
Probably my favorite from the whole day!!!
Happy Spring everyone!!!

Lauren's Unicorn Party - AKA 4th Birthday Party

So Lauren is finally 4 years old.  When did this happen?...
She is the sweetest girliest girl ever and mommy and daddys biggest helper.
And as you can tell she is old enough to pick the theme of her bday parties now,
I see a lot of pink and purple in our future! She is still in love with zebras and now unicorns too!
She is loving preschool but still cries once in a while when mommy drops her off, but she says its ok its because I love you sooo much mom -  So that makes it ok.  She can write her name really well and knows most of her letters and loves the show SuperWhy and anything Barbie or Princess oriented.
She is an amazing little girl and I cant believe shes growing up so fast.

Lauren posing at her party  -                Her Unicorn Cake we went to about 20 stores to find
Lauren and one of her BFF's Chloie (Nickys Daughter)     -        THE PINATA!!!

Her Barbie Bike - and yes it has a little bike for one of her barbies and yes that barbie has no clothes.
Birthday Day!!! Riding on two of her favorites - Carousels & Zebras

We survived - Snowmagedon 2012!

As everyone heard there was a big snow/ice storm last week up here in Washington.
We were lucky and had power the whole time but were stuck at home for over a week!
We got cabin fever pretty bad but only ventured out a few times to
build snomen and hike to the park, here are some pictures/videos of how we kept busy.

************************************************************************

Before the ice storm came we had almost 2 days of fun with some awesome snow.
Our neighborhood does a snowman building competition
and Lauren was the brains behind our design (as you can see)
We built a prince and princess and a bunch of fairies
and she won first place for the best snowman family!
*Thank you to everyone who helped!
Lauren with her favorite Fairy and her Prince & Princess

After the Ice storm we (I) couldnt stand being inside anymore or watching Rapunzel - ONE MORE TIME! so we treked to the park down the street and the kids had a blast! There was at least an inch of ice covering everything and they got soaking wet but they had fun!
Lauren with the ice off one of the steps
Trying to get a picture of both of them = impossible!!!!
Cant wait for the sun to come back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Moving on into 2012

We had a rough beginning to 2012,
but I think we are finally starting the new year - even though were a week late.
Here are some pictures from this past week of 2012.

Connor got to ride a horse at his friend Jacks bday party,
yes he loved it and yes It took all my strength to get him off of it.
He also fell in love with a cat that he now wants for his birthday.
The kids cooking - yes connor is wearing a princess apron, but its better than nothing. Right?......
And last but not least Lauren started ballet last night.
It was actually a good way to end the day since that morning we had the rangers memorial service.
There was a lot of pink and it was really really cute and it was a nice cheerfull way to end a very sad day.
How can you not be happy watching a bunch of three year olds
pretend to be monkeys and elephants, and dont worry there will be many videos to come!!!!

New Years Day Tragedy on Mt Rainier

A lot has happened since my last post, for those who havent heard we were up at Mt Rainier sledding on New Years Day when an armed gunman came up the mountain and a ranger who setup a roadblock to stop him from reaching us was shot and killed. The gunman evaded the police for about a day and for 15 hours of that we were held at the Visitors Center up at paradise to keep us safe. Ranger Margaret Anderson is a hero to us all and saved a lot of lives that day (mostly young children) and I can not even imagine what would have happened had she not saved us, our lives would be a lot different.  She leaves behind her husband and two little girls (3&1), please pray for them and if you happen to visit Mt Rainier - stop at her memorial, we owe her our lives and she will never be forgotten.

There are a lot of stories in the news and online, but this one is one of my favorites that is really well written and puts it into perspective: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/opinion/2017179033_guest08barcott.html

Thank You for all the thoughts and prayers - I truly feel someone was watching over all of us that day.
