JULY FUN & CAMPING VACATION

When we went on vacation I got my camera ready and found some old pictures I thought I should share with everyone:

Last week we headed over to Pasco to do some camping and visit the sun!

The kids had a blast it was around 97 everyday! 

 

 Connor Loves smores! or really anything with sugar in it!

What a tough life watching movies around the campfire

 There were tiny fish throughout the water they were trying to catch for hours 

in cups and no one caught any.  =(         -    But it kept them busy =)

 Connor loved throwing rocks in the water.

 It was a short but fun first camping trip for the kids,

now we know that next year theyll be ready for a much longer trip!

Golfing & June Fun!!!

Lauren had her last day of preschool for the year on my birthday so we went out to lunch and took a ride on the carousel! She did so great this year that they invited her to the advanced class for next year so she'll be going to school everyday next year (3 hours a day).   That should prep her for kindergarten pretty well.  

 This past weekend we did some putt putt golfing.  

Connor has been fixated on golfing so we finally took him, he needs to do some work on his swing as of right now he looks like a hockey player, and he cheats A LOT!  He wouldn't let me take his picture, but here is Lauren on a turtle and right after her first HOLE IN ONE!!!!!!

Early June 2012

 Found some more pictures from the past few weeks I thought I'd share with everyone. 

A few weeks ago we took our first fishing trip of the year - Our boat isnt ready for the water yet so 

Bumpa Jim was nice enough to take us out for a quick trip. We were only out for about an hour and 

Lauren caught the only fish! It was her first fish she ever caught by herself and it was even on her 

Barbie Fishing Pole!She was so proud of herself as you can see in the picture, except she said the 

fish was to icky to hold so daddy had to help.  

 

 More pictures from our backyard/practice camping trip - Connor loves his marshmallows!

 

 And Lauren loves roasting them, actually just catching them on fire. 

 Lauren is back at Auburn Gymnastics and is having a blast! 

She finally decided she likes gymnastics over ballet, 

hopefully that's a tiny step towards her liking soccer.

We can only hope.....

Memorial Weekend 2012

Memorial Weekend!

We stayed close to home but did lots of fun stuff!

Had the first fire of the year and roasted marshmallows. 

Camped in the backyard - Lauren called it practice camping

 Sunday we went up to Tahoma and then to the train museum in Snoqualmie

And once again like I do during almost every family outing I tried to get one picture 

of both the kids looking at the camera and smiling - why do I even try?...

Attempt #1 - both smiling - not sure what Lauren's looking at

 Attempt # 2: and now Connor is day dreaming

 Connor wouldn't even get in these pictures - but Lauren was loving the attention and pretending to get run over by trains - she actually wanted to lay down on the tracks in front of them and have 

Connor come save her.  She watches way to many Disney movies.  

 Attempt #3 - what is Lauren looking at now?          Attempt #4 - They were dancing ?........

 Attempt #5 - FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!! Connor I'll take that as a smile

Enjoying the sun!!!! MAY 2012

The sun finally came back! Just in time for Bumpa Jim & Gamma Jane to get a new boat! 

So we helped them test it out a little but and of course all the kids wanted to do was drive - 

Cant wait to play in the lake and get our boat out later this summer!

Mothers Day was amazing and I was once again spoiled!

I got a lot of great gifts including a new camera - so expect much better pictures from now on. 

We spent the weekend visiting family and playing at the park and had a picnic, it was perfect!

Connor once again goes to far and upsets his sister - and ruined almost every picture I took of them. 

                                                       All I wanted was one nice picture of the kids!  --- Finally got one!

 And an awesome picture of Joe & the Kids!

Here is a cute video from our Portland children's museum trip 

with Lauren and Connor playing grocery store. 

Connor wasn't so good at it, he stood in line as five kids went by him to check out 

he then just decided to leave his grocery cart in line and go "help" his sister.  

Lauren would check the groceries out, pay and then go put them all back, 

she loved it and was really good at it!

On our way back from phoenix last month Connor got his toy gun confiscated by TSA. 

We got him a new one and this is one of his favorite things to do with it.  

Here is Connor just being Connor. 

This is what he does when the show Choo-Choo Soul comes on. 

Its just a short show where they sing while on the train but Connor LOVES it! 

And Lauren just likes to be on camera.

PORTLAND TRIP 4/2012

This last week we took a trip to Portland to visit some great friends and 

Joe had a work conference there so we stayed for a few extra days with him.  

The kids had a blast and it was really nice to get away for a few days!

Here are some pictures of our trip to Multnomah Falls  

Lauren Loved it and wanted to climb all the way to the top - 

Connor was super scared and wouldn't let go of me the whole time.  

So there are mostly only pictures of Lauren

I finally bribed Connor with some chocolate and got him in a few pictures.  

 Here he was happy because there was a mud puddle he could play in while I took a picture,

 he said the water was WAY to scary!

 On our last day we went to the Portland Children's Museum - and it was AWESOME!!!!!!

They got to Play construction and help build a house

 They went shopping and played grocery store - Lauren's favorite!

 They both got to be vets and fix a sick puppy dog.  

 They even got to do face painting by themselves, Connor would only do it on his mouth so that didn't work out to well (he kind of looked like the joker), but as you can see Lauren's turned out great!

  And with their best friend Audrey 

- they had a blast and so did we! Well be back soon!
