December 2012 - Prepping for Christmas

WOW - its been a busy month!!! I had finals for school last weekend and it got a little crazy and busy so I didn't have time to post much on here so here is a recap of the last month.  

WE SAW SANTA!!!!!

Lauren was a little scared to begin with but the 

amazing photographers helped her to get on Santa's lap.  

They weren't to talkative with him but we didn't have any melt downs and they had fun!

We went to the Red Barn once again and the kids had a blast!

The kids had a blast and Connor was pretty scared of Santa (Joey) but toughed it out to get his present.

Disney on Ice - Rapunzel!!!

We finally went to Disney on Ice as a family  - Joe took Lauren 2 years ago - but we thought we'd test Connor to see if he could sit still long enough and he actually did ok.  It was actually  very cute and well done - better than I expected.  I dont think Connor was to into the princesses but Lauren loved it.  Hopefully this is enough Disney for them until we can actually go to Disneyland! Here are some pictures:

Halloween & NW TREK

I keep forgettting to put these up - I don't have as much time as I used to since going back to school which = less updates and my brain is pretty full which = Jamie forgetting things, only 1.5 years left to go.

Here are some pictures from Halloween - the kids had a blast and I'm sorry I dont have pictures of all the kids together - my camera wasn't cooperating but I think some others took some that I'll share at another time.  They all looked super cute and had a blast and got so much candy! I still dont know how they get so much on our little block, I guess we have very generous neighbors. 

So many people thought Connor was just a golfer but he's not just any golfer he's Bubba Watson! The funny thing is Connor thought he was just being himself golfing since his name is Bubba Watson also. It was pretty cute and he's still a little mixed up but he had fun and Joe even helped him carry his clubs up and down the block.   And yes thats a green masters jacket and a pink club - just like the REAL bubba. 

 

 

 Little Miss Lauren was Rapunzel, but not just normal everyday Rapunzel, she wanted to be Rapunzel on her wedding day.  This all started in February when we went to the Disney store and she saw Rapunzels wedding dress which was the dress of her dreams and it was $50! For the next 7 months she did chores, had lemonade stands and garage sales and finally saved up enough for the dress! The poor cashier had to count out A LOT of pennies and change but it was so worth it - she LOVES it and just glows when she wears it (that also might be from the 10 pounds of gold glitter on the dress). She also plans to wear it for next halloween because she said its to beautiful to not wear it again.  She's pretty adorable, and has perfected posing like a princess!

 

 

The weekend after halloween I got cabin fever and took the kids to NW trek! It was supposed to rain so no one was there but it was actually really nice and sunny.  The kids had a blast and all the animals were super playfull and active.  They made friends with beavers and Lauren decided the porcupines are way way to stinky.  Here they are even holding hands - love it (heart melting).

Connor was fussy on the tram ride and then he fell asleep halfway through it so Lauren got to do some modeling with the deer she bought.  She learned the difference between a boy & a girl deer, we always learn something new on the tram ride.

I just realized we go to the pumpkin patch a lot and we dont even buy pumpkins there!

                       Even though we got lost in the maze at least the kids found some stuff to play on!

BYE BYE SUMMER 2012

Summer is pretty much over - but we still have some sun up here so we ventured out and had some fun last week.We went with the Watsons back up to Mt Rainier, I had been working with the Parks Service to get a memorial put up there but it wont be until next May so we decided to take advantage of the weather and go up and pick up our sleds and movies we left behind back on January 1st. 

Thank goodness the kids dont really remember everything that happened

so they had fun hiking around with their cousins, I think it helped get us a little closure but I dont think well be back again anytime soon.

This wednesday I took the day of to take Lauren to a field trip @ Fort Nisqually in Tacoma

She said she learned a lot and she really liked all the old stuff

 Connor just tried to distract everyone as much as possible and once he accomplished

that he then picked all the dandelions he could find, I also learned it is not possible for him to whisper! After that display they may not be accepting him into preschool next year.

She did great and ran in and found her cubby and started playing right away, its the same school she was at last year, but she goes everyday now. 

 

As of today (this morning) - she wants to be an artist when she grows up

and her favorite things are: Unicorns, zebras, barbies, disney princesses and fish?...

Jamie just picked her up and she said she needed to go sit on the couch because she had a long day and her feet hurt. fyi her preschool is only 9-11:30.
