Watson update June-July craziness!

Whoa only 3 months since Ive posted anything - impressive.....

A lot has happened since April and we have been on quite a roller coaster of a ride this year. 

Lauren finished Kindergarten and did AMAZING! She started the year without being able to read a single word and now she is reading past a first grade level - she amazes us everyday.  At the moment she still wants to be an artist and still insists on wearing dresses everyday, but she is also pretty determined to be Miss America (might be my fault for letting her watch it with me).  She has perfected her talent of hula hooping while singing Frozen songs (yes any of them, she can hula hoop FOREVER).  She got a little upset when I told her it would be a few years before she could sign up for miss america - well see where that goes...... 

Connor is still Bubba and keeping us on our toes everyday and wont let me take pictures of him =( 

In the same month the kids were finishing up school I also finished up my graduate school program and got a job offer!!!! (I told you a lot happened) In the Fall I will be the School Counselor at Gildo Rey Elementary in Auburn WA, my alma matter!!!

But the kids were pretty excited about the cake. 

Even though it has been beyond a tough year or two for our family

 there are some amazing opportunities before us and I cant wait to see where life takes us!

Watson APRIL Update

Wow! I am not good at keeping up posting on this thing - sorry you are going to have to put up with not a lot of updates until I graduate this June! Having 3 and sometimes 4 jobs makes for a pretty busy life add on the kids and house, husband, yardwork, housework and it gets a little crazy or whatever is past crazy! Usually I can handle all kinds of crazy, I've been used to it all my life but I can honestly say this is the first time in my life I have truly been pushed to my limits! There is just way to much going on and I cant wait to only have 1 job (or maybe 2 at the most).  So here is a quick lil update of this year!
The kids are doing awesome! Lauren just turned 6 and can now read anything, which is amazing since she didnt want anything to do with it at the beginning of the school year (kindergarten).  I catch her doing homework in her room and reading when she is supposed to be sleeping - her teacher and school are all kinds of amazing and I could go on and on forever about how great it has been for her.

Connor is now 4! And is still our little Bubba, testing every limit possible.  He is a sweatheart and loves his sister but loves to test us all! He is doing amazing at school too! Hes made LOTS of friends and gets to go in the "Big Kids" class next year - YAY!

2013 Catchup!

WHOA - SO I am WAY behind with posting on here. I guess working full time, 2 kids, grad school and an internship will do that to ya -  Here is a quick catchup of 2013.  

The kids both started school full time! Lauren is in Kindergarten and Connor is in Preschool (Montessori)

Lauren caught a few BIG fish on the Puyallup River and we went out in the boat a lot! 

The Kids LOVED Christmas and were great for Santa and Connor is ok with being on the naughty list. 

Connor did "help" cut down the Christmas tree.

It was a great year but we are ready for 2014!!!

July 9th!

Yesterday (July 9th) was a big day for us! The kids had their first full Montessori school day (Lauren in Kindergarten / Connor in preschool) and they both loved it! We were on their waiting list since February and we are so glad they finally got in - I've already seen a lot of great progress with both of them!  Connor is the staff's favorite - they say he is the sweetest most polite kid they have ever had and Lauren has already made about 5 new friends (this is a big deal for her, not everyone makes the cut) and watches over her brother like the best big sister ever, so proud of them both!

We went to the Watson's for dinner and Lauren decided to swim without her floaties!

And if that wasn't enough we got home and Connor pooped on the potty! 

He has been #1 trained for a few months but this is the first #2 progress! What a day!!!

Laurens Preschool Graduation

 Lauren is now in KINDERGARTEN! She is in a summer school program now and will start "real" school in the fall. She graduated last friday from preschool and here are some pictures from that day.

 

She still loves to play dressup and sometimes insists on wearing her princess crown no matter what!
